Welcome!

Welcome to Luna Negra’s most recent project: our blog, Waxing/Waning! In reviewing last semester’s progress, our staff felt we needed a more casual outlet for the niche interests we have that you might share. Whereas our New Moon podcast is a formal discussion of more broad topics, our blog will be a place for our editors and designers to talk about specific, immediate events and topics affecting the literary and visual arts community. We’ve got plans for timely film reviews, editors’ favorite reads, contemporary art trends, and more.

This month, we’ll kick off the blog with a series of five posts, each reviewing an exhibition presented by graduating seniors in the Center for Visual Arts during December. Chad Troyer, Luna’s Art Director, and Olivia Wachtel, our Editor-in-Chief, will walk you through each exhibition, hopefully giving you a better understanding of the exciting visual art being created within our own community.
