Kent State’s 2022 Annual Art Show

Thursday, March 24, Kent State art students gathered their families and friends to attend the university’s Annual Student Art Exhibition which features both graduate and undergraduate art. Each undergraduate artist was eligible for Best in Show, First Runner Up, Second Runner Up, and People’s Choice. The winners for graduate artists were split into Best in Show, First Runner Up, Textiles, and People’s Choice.
In all different sizes oil and acrylic paintings, sculptures, drawings, textiles, and photography lined the walls of the Center for Visual Arts located on Kent State’s Esplanade. Refreshments were offered to the attendees as they milled around viewing the community of art.
Many of the pieces featured in the show will also make a debut in Luna Negra’s annual Spring issue that will be hitting the shelves within the week!
The graduate winners were as follows:
Best in Show: Brittany Gorelick
First-Runner Up: Laicee Blackwell
Textiles: John Fifield-Perez
People’s Choice: Helena Sarah Richardson
The undergraduate winners:
Best in Show: Ariana Bliss
First-Runner Up: Wren Enders
Second-Runner Up: Isabella Ucker
People’s Choice: Maysun Perez
